An introduction to how this section of PS3Leaderboard works
This section of the PS3 Leaderboard site is for players to take part in Leagues and Tournaments for PS3 games whether as individuals or as players within a Clan. Once registered on to the site you will be able to take part in PS3 Game 1x1 Tournaments or add your name to the roster of your Clan for Clan Leagues or Tourneys.
Registering to the Site and becoming a member
You must Register on this site if you wish to play in a League or Tournament, whether as an individual for a 1x1 Tournament or as part of a Clan. Please note that Registration on this site is separate from PS3Multiplayer.com . You should register using your Playstation Network (PSN) ID so that other players and teams can easily recognise you.
Enter your details and hit 'Create my Account'. You will be sent an email to validate your account. After validation you will be able to login to the site. Keep a note of your Player ID as you will need this to login quickly and also if you are part of a clan and wish to join the Team on this site. If you do not receive your Validation email then Contact Us to manually validate it for you.
Once you are a member you will notice a new section on the left hand side menu called 'Player Manager'. You are able to add your name to a game roster form here via the 'Join an Event' button or to visit your 'Account Manager' where you can edit your name and email and also manage your Clan/Team if you have one.
Entering a 1x1 Tournament as an individual
Once you have signed up to the site you can join an event.
Log in to the site and then click on the 'Join an Event' link in the Player Manager Menu. Then select the PS3 Game you wish to play in and you will join the List of Entrants for that game. If this is your first event then you will be asked to create a 'Team'. In this case the team is just yourself. You may create a name for you to play under for this event but we would recommend using the PSN ID you intend to use in the Tournament.
Once you have joined the team roster for your game you are able to join the Tournament if there are places available. Click on the 'Knockout Tourneys' link on the left hand side menu and then click on 'Signup' underneath 'Enter Tourney' to your chosen Tournament. The Tournament Director for that game will review your application and check such things as IP addresses to avoid multiple signups and then you will be placed on the Tournament bracket in the first round.
